| Anna Paquin is a New Zealand-Canadian film theatre and television actress known for her roles in films like The PianoFly Homeaway and X-Men.She entered the film industry when she was a young artist, in The Pianofor which she won the Oscar Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at eleven. Although she had no intention to become an actor but fate had her in it. Following her success in her debut film she received many offers which she did not accept in order to concentrate on her studies. But at fourteen, she came back to the world of film by taking on roles in Jane Eyreand Fly Away Home.In 2000 she played the powerful mutant Roguein X-Menthe first of the X-Menfilms series. This role catapulted her to worldwide fame. She reprised Roguein the X2 and X-Men, The Final Stand.She is also known for her small screen appearances, including in the film"Bury My Heart in Wounded Kneeforwhich her first Emmynomination.
